Professional Background
BPC-registered Adult Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, HCPC-registered Art Psychotherapist, and Clinical Supervisor with over 17 years’ experience across NHS and private practice settings.
My core psychotherapy training is in Adult Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, one of the UK’s leading centres for psychodynamic and psychoanalytic training. This specialist foundation informs my work with adults seeking deeper understanding, emotional change, and lasting shifts in relational patterns.
Alongside private practice, I have held senior Clinical Lead roles within NHS mental health services, working across community, rehabilitation, and secondary care settings. My clinical experience includes supporting adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, personality difficulties, psychosis, relationship challenges, and complex emotional distress.
My practice is grounded in psychodynamic thinking, with additional specialist training in Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT), psychoanalytic observational studies, and intercultural psychotherapy. This enables me to work with both immediate difficulties and the deeper unconscious processes that may shape emotional life.
I also offer clinical supervision to qualified and trainee therapists, arts psychotherapists, and mental health professionals. My supervisory style is reflective, containing, and developmentally focused, with attention to ethics, clinical thinking, and the emotional demands of the work.
Alongside clinical practice, I have taught and lectured at universities and training institutions in the UK and Europe, including Goldsmiths, Brunel University London, and Metáfora in Barcelona.
I maintain an ongoing commitment to professional development, regular supervision, and ethical practice in line with professional standards.
