PSYCHOTHERAPY

I offer individual psychodynamic psychotherapy for adults in a confidential and carefully held setting.

People often seek therapy when they are experiencing emotional difficulties, feeling stuck, or noticing patterns in themselves or in relationships that are difficult to understand or change. Therapy provides a space to explore these experiences at a deeper level, with time and attention.

My approach is psychodynamic and psychoanalytic, with an emphasis on understanding how past experiences and unconscious processes influence present difficulties. I also draw on Mentalisation-Based Therapy (MBT), supporting the development of a greater capacity to reflect on thoughts, feelings, and relational patterns.

I have experience working with a range of difficulties, including:

* Anxiety and low mood

* Trauma and overwhelming experiences

* Relationship and attachment difficulties

* Identity and sense of self

* Emotional regulation

* Experiences of significant psychological distress

I offer once- or twice-weekly sessions, both short- and longer-term, depending on individual needs. I offer online psychotherapy for clients based in the UK and internationally. Many people find that working online provides a flexible and accessible way to engage in regular, in-depth therapy. My approach remains the same as in-person work, with careful attention to the therapeutic relationship and the development of a consistent and reliable setting.

An initial consultation provides an opportunity to think together about your situation and whether this way of working feels appropriate..
