Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

In person in East London | Online across the UK and internationally | English & Spanish

I offer psychodynamic psychotherapy for adults, young adults, and couples who may be experiencing emotional or relational difficulties and are looking to understand these more deeply.

You may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, or a sense of feeling stuck. You may notice repeating patterns, self-doubt, or emotions that feel confusing or difficult to express. Difficulties can also emerge during periods of change, loss, or uncertainty, or when past experiences continue to affect the present.

In therapy, these patterns can be thought about together as they emerge, often gradually becoming clearer and more open to change.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy offers a confidential and thoughtful space where we can explore these experiences together, allowing patterns, meanings, and emotional responses to be understood in greater depth over time.

I also work with couples experiencing conflict, emotional distance, repeating relational patterns, or difficulties navigating stress, change, and communication.

My approach

My approach integrates psychodynamic psychotherapy, art psychotherapy, and Mentalisation-Based Therapy (MBT) within a relational framework tailored to each person’s needs. I place particular emphasis on the therapeutic relationship as a space where patterns can be explored and understood in depth.

I am attentive to both what is spoken and what may be communicated more implicitly, including emotional experience, relational dynamics, and moments of difficulty or disconnection within the therapeutic process.

My work is also informed by Mentalisation-Based Therapy (MBT), which supports reflection on thoughts, feelings, and relational experiences, particularly during moments of emotional difficulty, uncertainty, or disconnection

As a trained art psychotherapist, I also bring sensitivity to non-verbal communication and emotional expression where this may be helpful.

I also work with individuals who may have had previous experience of therapy and are looking to deepen their understanding of themselves and their relationships.

Context and identity

I am attentive to how aspects of identity and personal context—including culture, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and social position—may shape emotional experience, relationships, and the meanings attributed to them.
