Clinical Supervision
Psychodynamic, psychoanalytic art psychotherapy and MBT-informed | London and online
I offer clinical supervision for trainee and qualified therapists working in private practice, the NHS, and other clinical settings.
Supervision provides a reflective space to think in depth about clinical work, including complexity, uncertainty, and the emotional experience of practice. It can support the development of clinical understanding, confidence, and professional identity over time.
My approach
My supervision is grounded in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic thinking and integrates Mentalisation-Based Therapy (MBT), relational practice, and my experience as an art psychotherapist working across NHS and private practice settings. I place particular emphasis on the therapeutic relationship as a central focus of the work, including transference, countertransference, and the emotional experience of clinical practice. I also supervise art psychotherapists and clinicians who work with non-verbal communication, creativity, and emotional expression within therapeutic work.
I aim to offer a space where both the clinical material and the therapist’s lived experience can be thought about together. This includes attending to moments of difficulty, uncertainty, and not-knowing, as well as the meanings that may emerge within the supervisory relationship itself.
As an experienced clinician within NHS and private practice settings, I bring familiarity with working with complexity, risk, and organisational contexts, and can support thinking across these areas.
I work with therapists from a range of modalities, including psychodynamic, integrative, and Gestalt approaches, adapting the supervision to each clinician’s way of working while maintaining a relational and mentalising perspective.
